Matiang'i revealed that he is eying Presidency, a feat he said he can only achieve with the support of a united opposition - which comprises of such leaders as Kalonzo, Gachagua, Martha Karua and Natembeya..
However Matiang'i hinted at his readiness to support the candidate that the united opposition will settle on through a democratic process.
According to Matiang'i the United Opposition will settle on a single candidate through the democratic process.
He assured Kenyans that he is ready to stick with the United Opposition no matter the leader who will be settled on to face off with President Ruto in 2027 elections.
"I have always been firmly focused and committed to the democratic process of searching for a single united opposition candidate for the Presidency in 2027. I assure Kenyans that the united opposition leaders will stick together and deliver one candidate. I have my eye on the Presidency, a feat that I will only achieve through the route of the united opposition." Fred Matiang'i said.
This followed reports of Gachagua Backing Kalonzo Musyoka in 2027.
Matiang'i has now revealed that he is also eying Presidency but is ready to support the candidate that will be chosen through democratic process in the United Opposition.
