Seasoned political analyst Herman Manyora has voiced strong confidence in Democracy for citizens Party (DCP) candidate Newton Karish ahead of the upcoming Mbere North by-election, saying that only state interference could stop him from winning.
Manyora shared his views on his online channel, where he discussed the growing attention around the November 27 contest.
According to Manyora, Karish who has moved from music to politics has built a solid base in the constituency.
He noted that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s open support for Karish has also strengthened the candidate’s chances.
In his analysis, Karish is entering the race with a notable advantage, and any loss would raise serious questions about the fairness of the process.
Manyora stressed that Karish’s defeat would not happen naturally through the ballot but only through what he described as “massive rigging.”
He warned that such an outcome would send a strong political message, not just to the people of Mbere North but also to the national political landscape.
“The DCP candidate will win the election unless the election is massively rigged. You have to rig for Newton Karish to lose, but it will make a statement,” Manyora said.
He added that this possibility should push the opposition to be more alert and strategic as they enter the final days of the campaign.
The analyst also pointed out that the by-election carries deeper meaning beyond the seat itself.
He explained that it is an important test for political influence, trust, and public confidence in the electoral system.
Any form of interference, he warned, could shape how voters view the credibility of future elections.
