"Si Ruto Ndio Atakua Rais 2027?” What Malava Residents Told Mudavadi After Prediction on Reelection

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on Friday landed in Malava, Kakamega County, as campaigns for the hotly contested by-election entered a decisive phase

Addressing a huge crowd in Kabras Ward, Mudavadi rallied residents to support UDA candidate David Ndakwa, insisting that the constituency stands to gain big if it aligns itself with the government.

Mudavadi assured locals that the upcoming by-election would be peaceful, dismissing fears that the contest may be marred by chaos.

He stated that the government had already put in place adequate security arrangements to ensure every voter casts their ballot without intimidation.

Turning his guns on Western leaders allied to the opposition, Mudavadi accused them of attempting to mislead residents and derail the region’s path to development.

He argued that the opposition had no concrete plan for the people of Malava and was only interested in political games that offer no benefits to the electorate.

At one point, Mudavadi posed a direct question to the crowd, asking whether they would allow the opposition to deceive them yet again.

The residents responded with a resounding “Apana!”, signaling a clear lean towards the government side.

Buoyed by the warm reception, Mudavadi went on to predict that President William Ruto would convincingly defeat the opposition in the 2027 General Election.

The crowd echoed his sentiment, loudly shouting “Ndiyo, tutam” in agreement.

On the other hand, the United Opposition leaders were also in the same constituency campaigning for their candidate Seth Panyako.

The campaign was led by Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka, Jubilee Deputy Party Leader Fred Matiang'i, DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa and Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya.
